FASHION REBORN: THE RENEWAL OF THE INDUSTRY

Well personally, monitoring and watching the fashion scene in Uganda develop has been mind blowing. Ok great I know what your thinking "its not fashion just a bunch of kids with tees who think they are cool". Allow me to differ in actual sense I believe these brands are adding a spice to the Ugandan scene that we may have never had. Just like Corteiz created a renaissance in the street wear scene in the U.K and brands like FreeTheYouth and Ashluxe are doing in West Africa. In Uganda, well basically among our Gen Z community we are getting brands like Chief, Retro Fits, speedballmag and many others I can't mention that are renovating what it means to look great. From organizing fashion shows to pop ups its creating a dedicated base and community to the art & craft of the industry. Even though unpopular opinion is that these brands are basic and useless, there's a whole other dimension to it. Its just the tip of the iceberg and I believe that any smart creative out there should definitely give this a shot as its just a matter of time before all this gibberish I'm talking starts to make sense
