CRUIZEREVIEW: MYTII KOBAIN

Fell on our radar later this year, Mytii Kobain is well a Ugandan rapper and boy does he have moves. We had the privilege of catching his performance at the last Khulted full of energy and that raw authenticity the market has been missing. See Mytii gives off shades of, LUV IS RAGE, era Lil Uzi Vert and, WHOLE LOTTA RED, Carti era.

He's fresh off the release of his debut project, SIN, we has the cruizemag team were on the case as usual discovering gems so you don't have to.

This is our official review of the SIN tape.

SIN
SIN

The 5 track mixtape, SIN, stylised ,SiN, starts of with the record, NirvNa, which is such a strong intro for a debut project. Mytii goes off by saying,......you ain't built for this shit, basically showing how he feels about where he stands with his craft and style at the moment.

its quite the braggadocious intro having all forms of bars and what you'd expect from an Opium themed record.

Its that,.....used her as a form of therapy, line for me.!

We dive into the title track, SiN, and once again Mytii peopleeeeeee. This guy omo he just runssss, the production on this is top tier one of my favorite songs on the project. And Mytii's barsssss,......she takes her clothes off you know that she gone sing for me, Kobain has a sound that feels crafted for take off and this track is worth our every single minute.

Shoutout my nigga Mason for his production on this (those who know, knowwww).

...i've been off that molly for daysss......, thats how Mytii got us moving on this album, mixtape? j0hnnY cg3, the next track once again filled with that classic Opium core flow and sound. Makes me feel like coping some Rick Owens just for the plot. A short track but still feels and sounds complete. Its crazy how a project this cohesive is soo slept on.

We go into LUV Song, my favourite record on the mixtape. The production is top notch and so cohesive, it feels nice to see a tough dude like Mytii having a little love ballad here. Reminds me of Feel like Dyin, off WLR a sensual and deep track asserting his love for this muse whom he calls his trap queen. And the occasional crooning for me at the outro. And boy the keys on this were fire. I'm coming to this fosho!

Lastly, another top tier track the outro to the album, Comfortable, a very energetic way to sign out of a rap mixtape. The honest truth I'm having a tough time accepting that a Ugandan managed to harness such a complicated Opium core sound and make it feel so up close and personal. And just like he says, ........ i don't give a f**k if you're not feeling me. Because thats how we're feeling about Mytii's new project its one we're revisiting 10 years from now and remember that we were there when it started. I honestly can't wait to see what he cooks next after this. Hopefully a tour or show cause I'd love to rage to this music live. Cause boy is he a performer.

Well all the noise aside, we here at cruizemag. have really loved this project because of its cohesiveness, the mix is also really good not too noisy but loud enough to rage to. It was quite the introduction for a Ugandan market that's still very single driven.

9.5 out of 10.

That's our official review the 2nd best project we've heard this year so far.
