CRUIZERADAR: omukkk

Well you might ask doesn't bruv have something to do with the magazine, well yess. Our CEO and Founder, Konrad Omuk but goes by the alias flowers and stage name, omukkk. Is becoming somewhat of an enigma and we just had to do a profile on him.

omukkk, is an upcoming alternative r&b and indie pop artiste hailing from Uganda. He started his music career way back in 2022 but his recent two single pack, burning, and new record titled, im the man featuring dante.seth, have us asking the important questions about whats next for the crooner.

He told us that he loved music his whole life but something sparked in him when he discovered Frank Ocean at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. It sparked a fire in him that kept burning as he consumed more and more music developing a particularly large appetite for it. This inspired him to take up the mic and being a poet too it came to him easily.

However he told us that he had been recording music for 2 years prior to the release of burning but was extremely paranoid about what the public would think about his niche style.

Inspired by Frank Ocean, Daniel Caeser, Joji and Dominic Fike. He started to craft a new approach to Ugandan music borrowing aspects from indie and neo-soul aesthetics.

This all led to the drop of birth of, burning, and the idea of, after summer, there was us. His debut mixtape set to drop early next year.

When asked about the inspiration behind the album he laughed and said whats funny is that the album is about his last relationship and the state that he is in now that its all over and yesss he is a single man ha ha ha ha.............lol. So its a story about the love he felt this summer and the after math of dealing with emotions after a break up.

On listening to the demos he played for us I'd say its pretty beautiful album definitely different but its a breath of fresh air from the seemingly repetitive Ugandan music scene.

On asked for his plans for the future he said he's aggressively focused on delivering the perfect project in due time, a couple of live shows and definitely Camp Flog Gnaw 2026 (Tyler, the Creator's Festival).
